The maximum weight of the laptop is 1.27 kg (2.80 lb) and its equipped with 3-cell, 55 Wh “smart” lithium-ion battery in the base variant. The Dell XPS 13 Plus 9320 base price is US$1200 but can be customized adding more specs and features.
As per the customer review; Dell has revolutionized the XPS 13 Fantastic performance and beautiful design I did not even know the trackpad was just haptic feedback under a glass keyboard rest until I read about it; it felt like a real button. The gorilla glass wrist rest is also nicely textured and very comfortable to work on for extended periods. You won’t even know it’s not metal.
I was initially skeptical about the ESC and DEL keys being on the touch sensitive function row, but the position and sensitivity of these keys is perfect and I don’t have any issues using these. The keyboard itself is also really well placed and easy to use with positive clicks and easy to reach all of the keys.
The 3.5K OLED is brilliant, especially if you are getting older and are losing your ability to detect minor variations in contrast. It does however reduce the total battery life by a few hours compared to the FHD non-OLED displays.
As per another customer review:
Dell XPS 13 9320 Plus. I love it.
Had this new XPS 13 plus with Ubuntu 20 04 for about 2 weeks. External all the polished aluminium and glass looks beautiful and function. A much better lid hinge than my 2020 xps 13 7390.
Pros: Wasn’t sure about new keyboard layout but I love it. Feels right sounds right just great.
PerformanceThe FHD 1920 x 1200 is fantastic. Clear, bright. My old eyes prefer it to the 4k screen on my other xps. Speed well with 12 real core and 16 threads who could expect anything less than awesome. Everything happens almost instantaneously.
Cons: None really. It run pretty warm on my thighs but the extra cooling inside means it stays under control.
The new glass “invisible” touch pad and switchable function key role take some getting used too. But after that no real issues. Battery life good but not exceptional. A well earned bravo to Dell.
As per another customer the Dell XPS 13 9320 has some heating issues
Getting very hot and unstable at the beginning.
When I got the XPS, the default settings was causing it to get very hot and because of some driver issues was also lagging when running video from YouTube, but changing the settings to “cool” and getting help from support to correct the graphic card driver it works fine, but really not a great experience with a new computer out of the box
As per our online analysis this laptop model has awesome rating and reviews by real users, here is another positive review by real customer.
Excellent screen, great design, some productivity issues
I am incredibly happy with the screen, which has amazing colours and very well-working touch-screen, which complements the touch-pad and makes the work faster. The design is great: the keys on the keyboard push with the most pleasant feeling ever, the touch buttons at the top look neat, although I’m not sure how I feel about the fact that the touch pad is not visible. However, for such system characteristics, the laptop could be a bit more productive, because when I open Zoom together with the browser and a pdf, it slows down. Another thing I don’t like is that it heats up a lot, so you can only use it on a desk. And if it’s too hot in the room or outside, you’ll probably need a cooling station, which I’m now going to buy (additional unwanted expenses).
As per the above customer reviews this laptop is good in design, performance, look, and weight and etc. But laptop seems have some minor heating and battery timing issues. as per the unhappy customer regarding the battery timing. Here is what they experienced.
Battery lifetime suspiciously low
Unfortunately, battery lifetime is suspiciously low. I used to get >10 hours on my dell XPS from 2016. On this dell XPS 13 plus, I barely manage 3-4 hours of light use. If software updates don’t fix the issue, I will return the PC.
