   I miss the buttons on the track pad, no RJ45 plug, no optical drive. for some reasons is gets stuck on google chrome, just a round loop spinning. I dislike the keyboard, the keys do not feel right. something I need to get used to. I did know that there was no optical or rj plug, but I really need them for there is no WiFi where I go so I need to buy a USB adapter. it is rather speedy. I do not like how I need to put in a pass code or password to get into windows. but that’s not dell’s problem

   Poor battery life and faulty camera
   Really unhappy with this computer. The camera does not work and the battery says it’s unsupported and lasts no time at all. Kept for a birthday present so was more than 14 days after we bought it that it was opened and checked so now we can’t return it. Really disappointed as this was a computer for our autistic daughter to do her home learning on but she needs the camera to make that work.

   Dell Inspiron 3525 Pros and Cons:

   Affordable & fast 15″ notebook with some minor trade-offs.
   Pros :
   1. Thin & felt lighter than the stated weight.
   2. Screen is above average.
   3. Processing speed is as expected from the AMD CPU.
   4. Speakers are loud.

   Cons:
   1. No indicator lights whatsoever on the machine except the power LED on the side.
   – adding tiny LEDs are not that expensive and it helps the users a lot.
   – had some trouble trying to turn it on because there were no LED indicators.

   2. Notebook arrived with battery dead. Initially thought I had a DOA until I charged it a bit.
   – first notebook I ever received with battery totally discharged upon unboxing.

   Note : It does not come with a bag.

   I bought Dell Inspiron 3525 with Ryzen 5 5625 processor. Performance is good.
   The display – refresh rate was set to 120 Hz by default which was using more CPU and fan was also running continuously. I changed it to 60 Hz and its doing good now.
   We can upgrade RAM up to 16 GB. I bought one more RAM of 8 GB and installed it myself. The performance has become smoother and even heavy programs are performing well. Happy with the purchase.
   Dell delivery service was very fast.

   Great performance, amazing value.
   At first glance, I was amazed with the quality of the screen. Although not the brightest display on the market, it definitely blew my expectations. The 120 Hz refresh rate makes everyday use feel very fluid, and the ability to connect an external display through the HDMI port is very seamless, especially with the addition of a dedicated button on the laptop which allows to switch from duplicating the laptop display onto a monitor, to extending it to a dual-screen setup.

   Another underrated feature of this laptop is the upgradeability. I originally bought a model with 8 GB of RAM. This is more than enough, however due to the nature of a single-dim setup, it was a bottleneck. Thankfully, the laptop comes with an empty RAM slot, so upgrading it is as easy as opening it, putting the RAM in, and closing it.

   One disadvantage of the laptop I saw from reviewers was the battery life. It is somewhat true, however for a university student like myself who uses a laptop mostly for Microsoft Docs and Google Chrome, the battery lasts long enough to get me through lectures and some. I wish that the laptop supported charging through the USB-C port, however from my testing it doesn’t seem like it does.

   Overall, I think its a pretty snappy, affordable laptop with great build quality, capable of light gaming. I have already recommended it to a friend who looks to start university next year, and from my personal experience and research, I think it is one of the best laptops on the market in this price range, taking into account upgradeability, compactness, styling and performance.

    Dell inspiron 3525 ryzen 7:
    Good value computer for home use
    For the internet browsing and small home office activities, it fits the bill nicely. Speed wise, nothing to complain.

    It also looks nice. Setup is very easy and the fingerprint recognition is nice, it would have been better if all users could set their fingerprint as access, rather than just one.

    I like the numerical keypad next to the regular keyboard.
    What I didn’t realize was that the USB-C port does not allow for multiple screen setup or charging. The docking station allows the use of keyboard and mouse though, at least there’s that.

    The charger connector is also different from my Dell Latitude, which is annoying as the voltages are the same – you should expect to be able to use the same chargers, right?

    I received the computer with most all the software I needed. This computer is extremely fast, it was an easy setup. I suspect I will have this computer for many years to come. My only regrets are I did not get a 17 in screen like I had in my previous computer and I did not get back lit keys. I did not realize how important that one item is to the use of the computer. Even though at sit a table with lights around me a back lit keyboard makes a different. I bought an external cd drive since this computer does not have a built in. I use it very infrequently. The screen has great resolution. It is lighter and thinner than my previous computer. The computer starts up immediately when I turn it on. It has 2 usb and one hdmi connection. I would definitely recommend this computer especially if you can find one with back lit keys.

    I bought Inspiron 3525 which has Ryzen 5 5625U processor. Its a good laptop for the given price. There was one issue, it was by default using 120 Hz display which was keeping the CPU fan always on. Once I set it to 60 Hz, it has become very quite. I have used this laptop for around a week and I am happy with the purchase. This laptop has Anti glare display which is good for your eyes if you are reading/coding in dark mode and using laptop for longer duration.
