Great laptop so far
I had this laptop for about 2 weeks now and so far I’ve been quite impressed, its extremely quick to start up, the keyboard and trackpad are excellent, and the touch screen is an amazing addition. The different modes are extremely useful for me as a student to switch between watching a movie to taking notes to surfing the web
Handy laptop
Works fine–boots up quickly; the fingerprint authentication is a great feature. The 2-in-1 capability is OK, but it’s a little heavy for a “tablet.” I like having the option even if used seldom. Touch screen is a great feature–new to me but I’m learning to appreciate it more and more. Like most laptops, the keyboard is awkward for a fast touch typist who needs the tiny tactile feedback of a full keyboard to optimize typing speed. But, it’s better than some laptop keyboards that I’ve suffered. No keypad is a tradeoff for having good-sized keys within a compact overall size.
easy hookup
I had to replace my old Dell Inspiron 15 when the fan gave out. Because of the Coronavirus, I could not invite my computer guy in to hook things up. I finally did it myself, and the walk-through as I went made to activation really very simple!
Love my 2n1
Love my new 2n1! display crisp – my friend says the Skype is much improved, likely the camera. I’m not even as disappointed in the lack of the number keys on the right as I expected to be. Also love that it came in more than a week early!
For Professionals
I am a construction estimator and use this laptop for marking up and taking measurements on construction drawings. It works perfectly with my 3 monitor setup and as touchscreen.
Dell Inspiron 5591 2n1
It’s fast and stable with excellent battery life. Having multiple programs and web sites open don’t phase it. I’m using this laptop for personal use but it would work great for business use also. The only downside so far is the touchpad, it’s way too sensitive with no way to adjust it. To keep my sanity I’m using a wireless mouse with it. Overall is a very nice, very affordable laptop.
met my expectations perfectly
there are some insignificant software related issues in tablet mode which I believe can be resolved with future updates. Other than that, it meets all my expectations.
Flexible and Fast
Very pleased with this Inspiron model. Coming from previous Alienware machines for the last ten years, I was hesitant to move to a different platform, but am quite pleased with the features and the functionality of the Inspiron 5591!
Great Service… an excellent machine
I have the 5591 for a couple of weeks now… everything is working perfectly of course. The quality of the touch screen is super. Everything work better and better… the set up was really easy with Windows 10… It’s just a terrific computer. But the best part is the the Service. Being a Premium Support customer is a huge advantage… it’s like having a full service IT department in my home office… they are good and they are courteous! I highly recommend this 2 in 1 laptop… and definitely take the 4 year full service package with it! FOR SURE!!!
New Computer
The ordering process, delivery time and the computer features are great! I’ve been purchasing all of my computers from DELL for over a decade.
Love it!
Just love this Inspiron 15 5000 2 in 1. Very fast and easy to use. Only problem is the keyboard. Too flat and can’t feel the lead keys f and j with the notches. Not raised enough.
Inspiron 15 2n1
Love the 2n1 experience. Play some games that I am able to use my pen with and love the touch screen. Being able to fold it over like a tablet is awesome. Still learning how to work the keypad in tablet. Overall I am happy
I Love My Dell Inspiron 5591
I am in the process of learning about my Dell but my experiences so far are great. It is easy to use with Windows 10. The images are beautiful. I love the ability to open with my fingerprint! My papers print out easily. It is fast and dependable.
This is a great laptop
A little on the heavy side, but it’s not meant to be an Ultra thin unit. Well constructed an a breeze to set up. Now if they could just ship without the McAfee stuff..
Fast, good features..
I have bought 20 or so computers in my lifetime and this one seems the best out of the box. Quick, easy and tablet if needed. Around 1k but worth it after getting a few duds for laptops.
Perfect for what it’s built for
I typically don’t buy “big box” computers. I use my desktop and other laptop, which I’ve built myself, for work and gaming. So, they are actually gaming computers. They are very expensive and run great.
However, I wanted a dedicated work laptop. Something I could travel with and watch a movie or show on the plane or in the hotel, but also something that would work for my job.
I am seriously impressed. This thing is fast, the screen is crystal clear. It stays cool. It’s nice looking. It’s the perfect laptop for what I want and the price was fantastic!
So far, good machine.
This Dell is a different name than I have used before, but it seems to be a good one as folks have said. The original set up was good, and went fairly quickly, though there are more things to do that I am unsure of, and need a better description of the reasons for these different downloads. Would like to know the upside and downside, since I do not want to fill it up with things I won’t be using as just an average user.
Reliable
it work faster and clear vision on the screen very over all reliavility so far
Totally satisfied
I ordered on Friday and received my computer by 1pm the following day , I could not believe the delivery time when I got the package and I am totally satisfied with the product and the set up was painless. THANKS DELL
5591 2 in 1
System performs well…easy to locate programs and handle tasks. Switching between tablet mode and laptop mode is very easy.
Excellent choice in a 2 in 1
This 2 in 1 is so awesome and very fast. I have it set up with my WD 15 Dock via the USB Type C that provides data and power. I could not be happier with my decision and at a good price.
Fast fast fast!
Mt first computer with a SSD, and it’s amazing how fast this machine boots and runs! It will take me a while to get used to the tablet mode, never having had a convertible like this one.
All I need in a touch
The features of the 2n1 are a perfect for working anywhere with out any additional hardware. Everything is at your disposal with a touch of a finger. Love IT!!
not too good
runs very hot. windows 10 is nothing but error messages
Great Budget 15″ 2 in 1
Bigger then I expected for a 15″ 2 in 1. The screen is big but very bright the IPS screen is (1920 x 1080) HD. The battery could last a little longer for my taste but I did not expect it to last a full work day anyway. The finger print reader works flawless and along with the boot up time I can get up and running in near under a minute. Would not recommend for gamming but should handle most internet surfing, sending emails and Office work with no problem.
laptop is great
exactly what I was looking for. Easy to setup. Easy to use. Versatile for doing lots of computing work whether at a desk, in transit, or on the sofa.
Nice Laptop
This is my first laptop. I have been a die-hard Dell desktop user for many years. I decided to go with a laptop this time because I am caregiver for my 32 yr old disabled son and I am able to sit in the same room with him and do what I need to do online.
target customers
The target customers should be those students who really want to study. The Inspiron 5591 enable to writes notes like a tablet and provides a way to organize files in laptop ways. It won’t be helpful to for playing games, if you asked.
Computer problems
When I received my new computer, I was very excited and open the packaged, plugged it in and turned it on. The first window that popup was a error message and the computer was running a diagnostic. I have had to call twice. First the computer would shut down for no reason and it would freeze when edge was open. Ok the tech ran some diagnostic and installed drivers that were no were to be found when I was on the site. I had to call again and the fellow ran the same diagnostic that the first tech did but still it is not working right. When I close the lid without shutting the computer down, I have to hold the start button for 15 seconds to get it to turn back on. When switching from Tablet mode to Laptop it stays in tablet mode and affects my ability to access my desktop. I have to reboot to get it out of tablet mode.
Impressed
Went with what I could afford, I am impressed with the speed and its features for the type of work I do.
Nice, but locks up often, one of other problems.
Having problems with it locking up, does it often. 2 days ago it locked up for an entire day, had to let the battery die before I could get it turn off and reboot. Can not get my Epson printer hooked up.
Where functionality and excellence meet
My prior laptop was an Inspiron 15, but quite a few years ago. I work remotely reviewing medical records, so I may have 6 windows open at the same time. I am also in school for my graduate degree. This 2 in 1 has allowed me the ease of working on my 6 windows for work and also manage my online classwork nimbly at my desk of on the sofa in front of the fireplace. The start up was tremendously easy and transferring data from my older laptop to this one went flawlessly with the Laplink PCmover software. Thank you for repeatedly raising the bar on excellence!
Great laptop
Fantastic laptop performance. I’m an amateur photographer and I needed a faster computer for my photo editing software. My old iMac computer wasn’t doing the job and I couldn’t afford a MacBook. I’m very pleased with the Dell Inspiron 5591 2n1 with the Corei7 processor.
New Laptop
My laptop crashed and wasn’t worth repairs. I called Dell and a rep spent over an hour assisting me in making the right decision for my needs. So far I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I basically use my computer for information, email, limited social media, storing pictures, but most of all for my small on-line business. It is lightweight and easy to manage. It holds a charge much better than prior laptops. Buying directly from Dell allowed me to easily pick and choose exactly what I needed and the option of insurance protection and support from Dell.
Not a bad 2n1.
So far this is a good laptop. I’ve only had it for a week but it set up quickly, and I’ve gotten used to it quickly. I do have a smaller, older 2n1 that I’ve liked, so I wanted something a bit more power and this is pretty fast so far for everyday stuff, or even my design work as well. The tablet mode is pretty nice, but a bit stiff to get opened all the way around. My previous laptop had a side volume button, but this does not so it’s harder to quickly change volume levels. Also this laptop’s SD card reader doesn’t allow the SD card to be completely inserted. My previous one did, which makes it odd that a larger one does not. So if you’ve got an SD card inserted, it sticks out half way. The fingerprint reader is pretty fast, so that’s a huge plus. And the SSD is fast, and the ability to upgrade to 32GB of RAM is awesome! Hopefully it’ll be easy enough to open this up and add another chunk of memory at some point. So overall it’s a good laptop so far! Hopefully I’ll get a few years out of this like I did with my previous Inspiron.
Dell Inspiron In The Nutshell
Choosing the right laptop was an overwhelmed decision. I wouldn’t have ever presumed, that potentially easy choice will turn out to be so tough. Eventually, I’ve chosen Dell Inspiron 15, which later would be the best choice, ever. Let’s get into the laptop itself. Beginning with design – laptop looks amazing, inside out. Despite it has Intel UHD Graphics, which – according to the forums and blogs – was not the best, but not the worst graphic card as well, the display is fantastic in my opinion. Especially it can be easily seen with the hd wallpapers. Processor is not necessary to be described – Intel i5 10th GEN, says all for itself. There are of course speakers. They are pretty decent, but they are not the best. Sometimes, during playing songs with high notes and beats, you can hear some crashes within the sound, but it’s not something that would tout you off buying this computer. All in all, I am surprisingly impressed by this laptop. For such a price, it is – for me – the best choice to make. But what is the most important fact for me, is that you can put additional 24 GB RAM into it, what makes your laptop serves you even more, than few years. Everyone who are looking around for a decent laptop for college or business or just home-usage, should take Dell Inspiron into consideration. It is definitely worth every money.
Dell Support is Greatly Appreciated
I had a problem with downloading and installing updates. My WiFi adaptor quit working and I am currently away from home and staying at my sister’s house. I notified Dell support using my sister’s desktop computer. I came to realize that my Dell laptop has no Ethernet port! Fortunately, my Inspiron Bluetooth connection worked and I was able to connect to my iPhone which was connected to my sister’s WiFi network. Dell support was then able to connect to my Inspiron 2n1 and fix the problems that occurred. I really appreciate the service that I received. I plan to buy a USB C Ethernet adaptor now.
Excellent Very Fast 2 in 1
This i7 Inspiron 2 in 1 is a great laptop. It boots up in seconds and is super fast. I have it connected with my WD 15 dock, and the USB type C makes connection to my home office a breeze.
LOVE MY NEW DELL
I LOVE MY NEW DELL, THE FIRST DELL COMPUTER IVE EVER HAD. I DO NOT PLAN ON GOING BACK TO ANOTHER BRAND ANYTIME! THANK YOU
Dell Inspiron 5591 2n1
I have not been able to set up finger print to log in; everything else is outstanding.
No Numeric Keyboard
I would expect Numeric keyboard for a 15.6 inch 2 in 1 laptop. The lid is too heavy so it doesn’t stay open when the angle is less than approx. 30 degrees. I could find images about the keyboard on the Dell website. If I could, I would buy 7000 series instead of this. Would Dell exchange with me with no cost?
Concerned with Heat Production
I’ve had the computer about a week. The computer is working great so far, but I have two concerns. 1. From the first day, there is a lot of heat coming from the bottom of the laptop. 2. The battery drains fairly fast. I was expecting more battery life before I have to plug the computer in again.
Good hardware but heavy laptop
The hardware is good but the laptop is on the heavy side. Also the space between keys on the keyboard are more compared to a standard setup, so typing is bit difficult. I don’t know how they screwed up the standard key board setup.
STOP THE POPUPS!
We get it. You want to engage. We just want a laptop that doesn’t bother us. OK?
terrible build quality
i bought my first one of these laptops about 5 months ago and after about a day of having it i was browsing the web and the battery failed. then school started and i had to wait a month before i got my second one. then after having this current computer for about 3 months of having it the OS crashed and i had to re-download windows. then withing the last week the screen has began coming off on the lower right side. now when i first got the computer i noticed the hinges were a little loose but because it was a 2 in 1 i thought it was fine but after a few months they began to degrade and now the screen bends like crazy when ever i open it. and because it does that the screen has started coming off. it bends and now i have to go get it repaired. its very disappointing that the screen has failed this quickly. keep in mind i have never damaged this computer and i have treated it as my baby. after this computer i can safely say that i will never buy a dell 2 in 1 again.
great product
This was the best investment I could make when I bought this computer.
May have a faulty battery
Computer is great except the battery may be faulty. It overheats to the point that it’s almost too hot to touch and the battery life only last 3-4 hours before having to plug it in. If not for that, it is great.
Exceptional
Still early days as I have only been using my new 5591 2n1 for a few days and have still not got my head around all the tools that are built in. However I can comfortably state that my experience so far has been “Exceptional”. No issues with configurations or updates or loading new software – just no issues is a blessing. Thank you Dell.
No Numbers Keyboard
I was disappointed that it did not have a number keyboard on it to the right of the letters. Difficult to do math work without a number keyboard.
Solid laptop for the price
Pros: the body is much improved over previous models: smooth edges, light and sleek. Fingerprint reader is working well. Good performance with 10th generation processor. As usual, a great screen from Dell. Cons: weak hinges, power cable may slide out of laptop. I personally still miss keyboard with dedicated page up, down, home, end buttons.
Excellent PC
CPU is high performance (10th generation Intel I7. Big memory (16GB). WiFi card is new (802.11ac). The whole computer is running fast with high performance.
Consumer experience
I like how fast the tech assistant resolved the issue and even sent me a email for personal assistance for future issues, I like that.
options
too many tabs popping up and see no options internet security and browser. need duck duck search and firefox.
New Inspiron
Buy only the computer and nothing else. No software,, no cables. Don’t expect much help. Computer is great so far, I am setting it up myself without any help. If you can do that you will do ok.
I shouldn’t have gotten a dell again
Two weeks in, and the fingerprint ID has stopped working…. When I bought my last laptop from Dell, in 2011, the pad on the laptop stopped working within a short period of time as well, that should have been my clue not to purchase another laptop from them
5591 2in1 laptop
This pc is the f/p product. After 1 week’s usage, I can easily say that very fast wifi adaptor, hi-speed SSD, and usb3 connections are really efficient. If you are not a gamer, this pc can overcome all your challenges. I gave 4 because like most of the IPS screens it is more likely to have light leakage problems. I can see some light leakage on the black background, but it is not gaming monitor so it is usual.
Product fabulous but 3 hour program upload not fun
I needed and replacement laptop which the service was fabulous… however getting McAfee and Microsoft Office loaded after it arrived was a nightmare …. took multiply calls and finally a 3 hours to get it organized and done.
don’t work
I bought a new computer from you and the keys are not working
Glitchy
There have been several items that are very glitchy
Disappointed
Why does this brand new laptop immediately need an upgrade to Windows Pro to work from home remotely? Dell sold a lot of these knowing people were buying to work remotely due to Covid-19. Pretty disappointed as a long time Dell customer…
Registration
Since I got my laptop I’ve been tryin to register it, The Dell page where you should type your information allows you to fill everything but when you are done fill in in all the information the “ALL DONE” box does not lit up therefore you cannot advance to the next page, the only live option is “REMIND ME LATER” then a week later the reminder comes up but same options Remind me later,, it is very upsetting but there is nothing you can do except to call DELL and waste time when you shouldn’t have to. For that reason it is the lowest rating the only thing I can assign to my laptop
Support update
When I opened Support Assist a window popped up saying that there was an update for Support Assist. When I clicked on it to install after a little bit it said that there was a problem and it could not confirm and there could be a loss of internet access. Closed and reopened again and the same thing happened again. I this how Dell updates its Support Assist?
Frustrated
Cannot find other computers on the network. Very frustrating. Never had these issues with windows 7
Nothing but a paperweight
Has been a total pain to try and setup. Three days and I can’t do anything I need to.
User Review
It could be my age, but I have trouble with my password, I just need to write it down. I am not used to the fingerprint scanner. Now the 2-n-1 is pretty neat and I find myself getting lazy using the touch screen. I’ve been out of circulation for awhile, so I was not aware of the new systems. Thank you for a great computer and all your assistance when needed.
registration
I tried to register my laptop. I was asked address and the interface doesn’t accept the Canadian postal code whatever I did. That should be fixed.
So far so good
I love my new 5591 2n1. So far it meets all my needs. It is very easy to navigate and it is dummy proof just for me. The only thing I miss is my 10-key, but I definitely do not regret my purchase. on top of that my sales rep was excellent and made my transaction so easy. In todays, environment easy and convenient is extremely important. Thanks Dell!
Low-Middling
It’s bland, thick, heavy and unexciting. It mostly works, except the “blue screen of death” on every other start. But it’s cheap, so hey-ho…
Not user friendly
I am technically challenged and this laptop seems to be too advanced for me as I cannot find what I need and cannot make changes.
Inspiron 5591 2n1
I miss the 10 key pad I had on my laptop. I tried the Microsoft browser and was not happy with it. I downloaded google Chrome and love it. Other than that I like this Dell product but would probably go back to laptop in the future.
software frustration
I can’t find my Office function. I ordered the Home and Student, but Microsoft 365 keeps wanting me to sign in and set up an account. I don’t want 365. I can’t access WORD documents, therefore. This is my first laptop. I could use a tutorial on basic functions. For instance, I don’t find that F1, f2, or F3 function. I haven’t tried the rest. Not ready to give up my desktop at this point. Also, how many passwords affect other applications? Microsoft, Facebook, Yahoo, Twitter are all saying there is a problem with sign-in so if I correct one another won’t let me in without another password change.
Needs work
Something don’t work well like videos had clear the computer and restart to get my movies to play can be sluggish
Inspiron 5591
So far the computer works well. Response is fast. Perhaps I loaded a program(s) which take up a lot of memory but so far I am not affected by it. I do not demand a not from a computer and I do not use it that often so I cannot offer much of a review. The Microsoft office program works well.
The Laptop showing some critical issues on Hard drive
I am not too happy with this laptop yet as within just 5 days of receiving it .All of a sudden the finger print adapter stopped working. I rebooted several times and still it didn’t work. I tried to run the self diagnostic for the finger print reader but it was not running. Then I called Dell and they wanted me to run Hardware Diagnostics. It showed some critical error on hard drive. After running the diagnostics for several times, it went through and then after the reboot the Finger print scanner started to work but the battery was draining quite fast.
The inspiration is great!
The inspiration is so enjoyable and can help you in soo many ways!
Great
This is an amazing computer and gets all my needs done
Inspiron 5591 2n1 Experience
I love the new Inspiron 5591 2n1 labtop. The Dell labtop computer is easy to use. I voice will walk you through the steps to get you state is also has Talk to Cortana, which I really love.
Laptop
The Inspiron 5591 2n1 was everything they said it was. Transferring all data using PCmover was very simple and setup was a breeze. Dell does a wonderful job with their computers. I would recommend this laptop, or any computer from Dell, to anyone looking for a serious computer at a fair price.
Love this thing
So far, the 2 in 1 Inspiron 5000 with the 10thGen I5 is an awesome machine. Light and thin with great performance. I would recommend buying the Active Pen with it. It makes the new Microsoft Whiteboard app just amazing. One thing though, is that while the pen magnetically sticks to certain places below the keyboard, it makes fully closing the laptop impossible. There is no really good solution for Pen storage. Other than that, very happy with the product
So far, no issues
Just got my new Inspiron 5591, currently setting up for my needs. No issues to report at this time.
Awesome setup instructions!
I was so pleased to find that when I powered up my new Dell laptop, it walked me right thru the set up. I have always purchased Dell as I trust their products and their customer service!
Works well
It works well, sometimes it goes cold and I have to reboot the app,
Taking the NEXT Step.
The advancements in capabilities in equipment is spectacular. Problem for one Retired is the slow Re-Train Cycle. (Finding where Projects are saved.)
Excellent machine
Love this machine. Performance is super fast. Lightweight and thin.
The right Computer
I received the computer in record time and it is all that I would want from a computer. Its fast and the apps are great.
Dell never lets me down
I’ve had many Dell computers and laptops over the years and they’ve never let me down. They’re pretty inexpensive and they last. I would recommend Dell to anyone.
Good laptop for a good price and received it quickly.
I was impressed with how fast I received my new laptop since I got it 2 days sooner than was committed. The laptop has been bulletproof so far and has plenty of power at a good price.
Pleased with the purchase.
I was looking for a computer with fast start up, would shut down quickly, had a later generation of Bluetooth and Wifi, an SSD drive, an ample amount of memory, and a later generation of intel chip. I was looking for smooth quick response. It’s what I was looking for. It’s great for working with Microsoft Office and web browsing.
Good Product, Good Price
I needed an updated Windows-based PC for an office project. The Dell Inspiron 5591 exceeded my expectations. Versatile enough to be used both for demanding business applications, entertainment and personal tasks, the Inspiron 5591 delivers performance at a very reasonable price. Moreover, it’s easy to set up and use right out of the box. Good product, good price. What else could one want?
great laptop
So far this pc is good for all my home needs. I am able to do so much with the 2 in 1 experience.
great experiance
I haven’t had the laptop very long but as far as the interaction has been awesome and the speed and dependability has been second to none
Dell Inspiron 5591 2 in 1
I have not had it long but it performs as expected. Customer support is great.
So far so good!
I’ve had my Inspiron for 2 weeks now and so far I LOVE IT. I was hesitant to purchase a Dell as I usually use other brands but thought I’d give it a try and so far everything is great
Wonderful!!!
Very happy with my purchase. Screen looks great and PC performs amazing.
Very useful
Just got this new laptop, and so far it’s been working beautifully. Great sound and graphics, and the ability to switch from laptop to tablet is a very unique feature that I enjoy very much.
New computer
Have had very good success so far setting up my new deice windows 10
Excellent Machine
An excellent machine and dynamite system, definitely a recommendation for anyone who has an interest in buying a machine like this. It’s powerful as much as it is sleek and wonderfully designed. The operating system is not only fast and extremely personalized, but simple to operate and with a clean interface. I love the clarity of the screen and the additional features the machine has to offer, recommended on the highest level for anyone who is interested in purchasing a machine like this.
Very fast and great!
This is amazing! I use it a lot and its hard drive is so big! This thing is HUGE! Great computer. I recommend it for everyone! :D
